Offline RPGs worth your storage space

Good offline RPGs are rarer than they should be. So many hang their whole progression on servers and daily logins, which is useless on a plane.

The ones that work share a few traits: local saves, a real ending, and combat that reads well on a small screen. Emberfall Saga nails all three, and it's why we keep recommending it.

When you test an RPG offline, the first thing to check is whether saves survive with the connection cut. Some games will happily let you play a battle and then lose your progress the moment they can't phone home.

My advice: download a chapter, switch to airplane mode, and see if you can still level up and save. If it stumbles, it's not truly offline, no matter what the store page claims.
